I just slept for 14 hours straight, last night i started to feel dizzy as if i was drunk, and i was really flustered. Is this normal when your quitting? Is there anything else I should expect?

Ive been smoking for about 6 years, and quit cold turkey.

  1. It sounds like a panic attack to me.

  2. All known withdrawal symptoms.

  3. Yeah that's pretty normal, I threw up, all kinds of stuff when I quit, the body just don't like it.  I got a website with a section dedicated to quitting, might be of interest, it's got the medical stuff you can expect when you quit, if that's no good there are some links that might also be useful.

  4. sometimes when i sleep for 14 hours straight after quitting smoking and then feel drunk, its cause i took too many sleeping pills, and i was all outta milk in the morning for my cereal, so i used vodka instead.

so try not to take sleeping pills and replace milk with vodka.

  7. well first of all, good job with quitting.

the flusteredness is normal but sleeping isnt. you should be thankful that you slept for 14 hour because if you hadn't, you would have probably been clawing at your face begging yourself to have a cigarette :)

    good luck!
