I"m writing an article on Global Warming. What are some things I could write?

talk about how some people think it is a SCAM (check out the tv show about it on channel four, you should be able to find it online), how modern industry and technology affect it, the predicted effects, climate change, global dimming. put something about the impact the world's increasing population has on it - for example, china builds two new coal power stations every single week.

In order to make it truly good, you could include information about the uncertainty that global warming is really happening and put in some alternate theories to it.

"Global Warming" is just a form of propoganda so that you can buy new cars, recycle goods yatta yatta yatta.  The earth goes through cycles of warm periods and cold periods. It's cycles my friend, we had two ice ages, and and a couple warm periods. All of this global warming hoopla will be gone once we get closer to the third ice age, because it is invediable.  Nothing but cycles of warm and cold periods. And in this day in age, where the media tries to over-magnify situations, it may seem like this "Global Warming" is caused by humans. But I promise you it is not.

"Global Warming" is just a way for you to spend money on trying to clean up the environment.

You could write that it is a scientifically unproven farce. That would be the most accurate thing. Weather is cyclical. In the 60's and 70's, all the rage was global cooling.

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile -- the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here.  The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out most of the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year's time. For all four sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

When trying to make climate reforms you have to keep economics in mind.  The reason a lot of countries won't move forward is because the enviormentally hazardous form of production are usually the cheapest, and we live in a highly competitive global market.  So solutions have to be practical and realistic in this manor.
