Question:

I ran 100 meters in 13.5 seconds without spikes or any training...is that a good time???

  1. Sorry, but for high school boys that time is not at all competitive. You need to be running under at least 12 seconds. That being said, why don't you try middle distance or distance running. 13.5 won't cut it in the sprints, but it's about average for most distance runners. Go out for cross country in the Fall and then come Spring try to run under 5:00 on the track in the 1600.


  2. depends how old you are im almost 14 and i run 100m in 12.7 secs with out spikes.

  3. its sort of cause ur out of shape with no spikes but u should be running in the low 12's

  4. It actually is a good time, you should be able to go quite a bit lower with spikes, blocks and training.

  7. For a 17 year old it's ok, aim atleast towards a low 12 even without spikes. I ran 100m when I was 13 in 12.26 without spikes.  I'm sure you will be able. Train harder, aim higher. :)
