I ran a flashing red light with a camera?

I was driving in the far right turning lane...a red camera light was positioned two lanes over...there were two signs clearly stating no turn on red..but i was in a rush and ran it..can the camera even see that far...will i get a ticket in the mail, if so how long and wut is the fine..i live in NY btw

  1. The fine is between $50.00 to $100.00.


  2. Maybe. As far as i know you are supposed to stop at lights that are flashing and than you can go. kinda like a stop sign. Just because its flashing does not mean its not a working light. it just means you have to stop before your proceed.

  3. i think it just flashes if you run the actual light...i got flashed once the ticket was 75 dollars im in chicago...but if it takes a picture they will have you clear as day and when that light flashes you will know with no doubt that it took your picture...and they send you the picture as well when i got mine i couldnt deny it AT ALL!!

  4. Been through this, it will all go away. if you get a ticket they have to prove it was a working red light. and it all goes away
