I ran out of lexapro yesterday, and I won't be able to get a prescription until at least 4 days from now, is there a way I can get a temporary refill at the pharmacy?

  1. some pharmacies will give you an emergency supply to hold you over until your doctor gets back to the pharmacy with refills...but only if its a maintenance medication...just ask the pharmacist...Im sure he/she will be willing to help...

  2. If you have gotten filled at my pharmacy several times before, I would consider giving an emergency fill.  However, those pills will be taken out of your next refill.  I'll only give you 3 or 4 at a time.

  3. call your doctor and tell them that you need those extra pills. and have them fax your pharmacy.
