I'm a new driver and I'm concerned that I might have damaged something. I know I scraped something, but should I be concerned that I did some major damage? Is it even safe to drive or will something fall out? I don't think anything is leaking.

  1. Its good that you're concerned. Too many new drivers damage their cars/other cars and try to pretend nothing happened.

Having a mechanic check it over will be your safest bet. You probably didn't ruin anything. I've scraped the bottom of my car a few times on rocks and snow banks, worse thing so far is I ended up having to replace part of my muffler... which the mechanic actually attributed to age and all the salt on the roads.

  2. You might have cracked something or even knocked it off. Ask a friend to look at it if they know about cars. If not take it to a mechanic.(hopefully they won't try and gag you.

Don't act like you know nothing about cars act confident and ALWAYS ask questions.

  3. Take it NOW to any garage and let them put it up on a lift just to be on the safe side, you will never know if something is wrong until it is looked at.

  4. if you mean you actuall ran over it, it could have caused damage which you should have checked out. if you just bumped it with the front bumper you are o.k.

  5. Most likely,  you did nothing,  but it is great you are worried about this and want to be sure.      Like UCANTCME  suggests,   let  a mechanic check it to be sure.

  6. once, I was sitting in my car.  and someone drive by really fast.  thinking they were cool or something.  And there was the parking block there.  they hit it.  and jumped it.

    it was so funny
