i did the worst thing, i ran over the neighbours cat, and they are strictly against animal cruelty becuase they own a vet, the cat died as it was stuck under neath the wheel, to cover it up i hid the cat in their bushes on their front lawn! and drove off!

Should i tell them, should i should've driven it to the only vet in town and confess for the run down of their pet, should i feel not guilty and kick my feet up and relax, should i blame the other neighbours..

Please help, i dont know what to do!

  1. just leave it alone there are plenty of  cats it the world now if it was someones dog id say different!!

  2. You really should let them know. They are going to be worried that it is not coming home. I would go over and be very sympathetic as it was a member of their family. It was just and  accident but not telling is cruel as well.

  3. It is not animal cruelty if you accidentally hit a pet that was not kept inside BUT it is CRUEL to not let them know.  (I am assuming it was killed and you did not leave it suffering. - THAT would have been cruel).

You should wrap it up and take it to them and say it was an accident and your sorry for their loss. :(

  4. That was a hit and run.. then you  hid the body.. and left the scene of an accident....... your in big trouble Mr.. wait till the crime unit gets there forensics is going too investigate.... i bet they find alot of   evidence that leads too you..... wow your gonna get big time for this pack your bags and leave the country cause once this hits the news it over for you.......  go too the police and confess that's your best bet.... good luck....

  5. If it was really just an accident forget about it.

  6. i'd leave them an anonymous note in the mail about killing the cat.

  7. You absolutely have an OBLIGATION to tell your neighbors the truth - and YES, you should have taken the poor thing to the vet.

Your post makes me sick - you are, indeed, a complete coward if you do not go to your neighbors and tell them exactly what happened to their cat.

"Should I not feel guilty and kick my feet up and relax, should I blame the other neighbors.."  Are you KIDDING?!!

It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to TELL these people immediately - there is nothing more painful for people than to be left WONDERING what happened to their pet.

You said you ran over the neighbor's cat accidentally - your neighbors will, I'm sure, be upset, but if you do NOT TELL them, or try to blame it on someone else, you have no morals at all.

If I ever accidentally ran over someone's pet, I would feel terrible, but the LAST thing I would do is try to cover up what I had done in any way - I would tell them right away.  I certainly wouldn't want to add to their pain - and if you don't tell them, that is exactly what you will be doing.  These neighbors are entitled to know what happened and to either bury or cremate their pet before it decomposes.

Some of the answers you have gotten here are outrageous - you need to take responsibility and have the guts to explain exactly what happened.

  8. you should tell them it was an ascendant but it was wrong to drive of u should of told them straight away.

  9. Lol, whether you decide to hid it or tell them, you're in trouble dude! They'll probably hire someone to find their cat, and if you tell they'll probably beat the c**p outta you!

  10. Post a note through the letter box appologising. Make sure its anonomous. then, clam down, realx and forgett all about it.

  11. well if it were my cat,  i would want to know the truth,  as to how it died,   so, i suggest you clear your mind, go tell them it was a accident, and ask if you can replace their cat, with another..., at least offer,  and man up to it...

  12. Find a stray cat and paint him to look like your neighbors. The perfect crime

  13. you best hide that cat body a couple blocks away. If they are nice people they may understand it was an accident, but if it was me i'd beat the living **** out of you if you told me you killed my cat, even if it was an accident.

Hide that **** !!! then act casual  no body, no problem

  14. I really think you should go and tell them the truth and apologize.  It was an accident and accidents happen.

They would happen less if people kept their cats indoors more often (yes, some areas are less dangerous than others and some cats are smarter than others).  The cat should have been inside, especially if it didn't know to stay off the road.  You should apologize because it's the right thing to do, but you don't owe them anything.

  15. you should tell them. Its not like you meant to hit it, it was an accident. They'll be upset, b ut they'll be more upset if their cat is missing or if they find it themselves.
