I read ghost stories and facts but what does this mean?

What does 'cold spot' and chill feeling means?

A cold spot is a fact.  "Ghosts cause cold spots" is a hypothesis that has never been substantiated.

NOT EVERYONE SUBSCRIBES TO THE BELIEFS THAT "COLD SPOTS" EVEN EXIST.  MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HAS BEEN THAT JUST BEFORE I SEE ANYTHING THAT IS UNEXPLAINED I WILL FEEL A DROP IN TEMPERATURE AROUND ME.  I HAVE NOT HAD ENOUGH EXPERIENCE TO SAY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER WHETHER THEY ARE RELATED TO EACH OTHER OR NOT BUT ...  IT IS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.  

WHAT SOME OF THE OTHERS ARE SAYING TO YOU ABOUT SPIRITS TAKING ENERGY AND SUCH FROM WHATEVER IS AROUND THEM TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE OR CONTACT US ON THIS SIDE IS TRUE ... SOME ARE JUST BETTER AT IT THAN OTHERS IS ALL ... SOME ARE WEAKER OR NEWER AT THE PROCESS ... OR ARE JUST NOT SURE THAT THEY WANT TO CONTACT US YET ... BUT UNLESS THEY ARE OVERTLY MALICIOUS THEY ARE REALLY NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF ... I MEAN WHO EVER SAID THAT THE ONES WE HAVE LOST ARE NOT HERE WITH US LOOKING AFTER US AND HELPING US THROUGH THE TRIALS OF OUR LIFE ANYWAY ... I DOUBT SERIOUSLY THAT WHEN THEY ARE NO LONGER HERE THEY JUST FORGET ABOUT US ... SO IN SHORT A "COLD SPOT" COULD POSSIBLY BE THE PRESENCE OF A SPIRIT OR ENTITY JUST TRYING TO FIND ENOUGH ENERGY TO MAKE CONTACT ... KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS IN THE FUTURE ...WE WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER WHAT WE KNOW AND WILL TRY TO FIND OUT IF WE DO NOT ... CPR

The cold spots are said to be where the ghost/spirit is. Many people report the temperature of a room dropping when a spirit is in it. The chill feeling is your nervous system responding to alert you that it is sensing something that is not quite right.

Where ever a spirit is, there's always a cold spot, where the temperature is cooler in some areas. A chill feeling is what you get when you sence a spirit is nearby, like getting a strong strange feeling about someplace or something that conserns ghost or spirits, or dead people, kinda hard to discribe, but I've had it before. Trust me, you'll know when you have it.

If you should be in a house that is haunted by spirits, ghosts etc....."cold spot" would be where you can literally see you breath in the air....or you will be cold in a certain room but, the other rooms will be room temperature or warm.   Sometimes when you walk into a room that is inhabited by a spirit....the hair on the back of your neck may stand up & you will get goose bumps on your arms.   That is the chill feeling.  Or better yet if the spirit moves past you ......you will feel a breeze of cool air as it passes in front of you or beside you.  Just because you cannot see it does not mean it is not there.

A cold spot is a small area that has a much lower temperature than the air around it. For example I have documented cold spots where the air around it was 107 degrees but this small area was 51 degrees. I  noticed it because I was hot and then I walked in this one spot and man, I could tell the difference. We were outside at a massacre site way out away from any civilization. I was walking in the parking lot.

The cold spot started moving. A chill is when you have a chilly feeling and  you should not be.

Some believe cold spots are ghost but there are natural explanations for these. But that is what a cold spot is.

Chills also have a natural explanation. Whenever someone is  at a place that is supposed to be haunted, they have expectations of seeing or experiencing something and their nerves are on edge SO it is not uncommon for people to experience a chill brought on by their desire to experience something to scare them.

I have my own theory about cold spots.  Most researchers will agree that spirits must draw energy to interact with us.   Heat is energy, my theory is that when they are trying to manifest some form of communication they are literally sucking the heat out of an area, drawing in energy.   This would create the "cold spot" that so often accompanies paranormal activity.

The idea is that there is a ghost in the room. You can't see it or feel it or talk to it or anything, but when you walk through that spot you feel cold.  It's like a spot of cold air.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I've seen this used in many ghost stories.
