Don't bash people who don't watch the news or know everything....some people work 2 jobs to support people or work and go to school or who knows. We all can't know everything. If we did there would be no need for this site. Right?

    Be kind!

  7. Georgia is in the Caucaus region south of Russia and was a republic of the former Soviet Union. It was the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, but beyond that it has been independent from Russia since the early 1990's. It has oil and there is also a pipeline that carries oil to the west, I'm not sure of the exact location or terminus. That is one reason there is fear this war could escalate and involve the US and other western countries. Trivia: In the Beatles' song, "Back in the USSR" from about 1968, the line "Georgia is always on my mind" refers to then Soviet Georgia. Right now there is no reason for people in our state of Georgia to fear another "March to the Sea".

  8. Georgia is on the east coast of the black sea between russia and turkey.  It is one of the ex soviet block nations.
