  1. It is an observation that I noted, too.

But on further review of McCain's health, he has an 80 percent chance of surviving 4 years in the White House.

Whereas, O'bama will never be bullet-proof. I fear some extremist on either side will feel justified in killing him for being half-white or half-black.

    May God protect them both.

  2. Actually, it has happened.

    Harrison 1841

    Taylor 1850

    Lincoln 1865

    Garfield 1881

    McKinley 1901

    Harding 1923

    Roosevelt 1945

    Kennedy 1963

  3. Yes... may God protect them both since we have so much more to loose.

  4. Mc cain's candidate for VP has changed eveything , people now more inerested in VP's

  5. The VP is a very important job, actually.  But history tells us that it rarely, if ever, has decided an election...except for MAYBE Adams and Jefferson.  Polarization by the media has made the VP pick much more then it really is...both VPs are not bad, but it's not like people are not voting for Palin and Biden.

The VP, however, is the President of the Senate.  They cast the tiebreaking vote, if needed.  So actually a smart choice for VP is very important, considering the duties the President of the Senate must perform.
