that all the Presidents to date have been freemasons with the exception of those who have died in office. Is there any truth to this? Where does that leave obama or McCain? I don't think either are freemasons.

  1. http://www.heart7.net/uspresidentasmason...

Here is some helpful information enjoy.

  2. Freemasons: Washington, Monroe, Jackson, Polk, Buchanan, Johnson, Garfield, McKinley, T. Roosevelt, Taft, Harding, FDR, Truman, Ford.

Lincoln applied, but withdrew, planning to join after his presidency.  Regan was an honorary Shriner.

In addition, a significant number of the founding fathers were Freemasons-Paul Revere, Franklin, Hancock.

I can't locate any resources confirming or denying either Obama or McCain's brotherhood.  As far as "where does that leave" them, I guess the facts suggest that it isn't necessary to be a freemason to be elected president.

  6. Obama belongs to a secret group of muslims

  7. It's not true, though many presidents were members of secret societies. For example, our current president is a member of Skull and Bones.

  8. Fourteen presidents were known Freemasons.

  9. Josiah is correct. Additionally LBJ was made a 1st Degree Mason but never went any further.

Two known and very staunch anti-Masons have also been president, John Adams and John Quincy Adams. Some anti-Masons have claimed other Presidents were antis too, but they have provided no evidence so there is no reason to mention them and fuel speculation.
