  1. With mercury and other toxins, you are looking at 3 generations of effects.  This means that in labs where toxins were given to mice and cats, etc. and watched for effects.  They noticed it took 3 generations for those effects to subside in a significant manner.  Thus, this whole situation with mercury is lot more complex than one would think.  Toxins are transferred from the mother to the child during pregnancy.  What I heard is that autism rates do go down temporarily when mercury is reduced, but because of the ever-increasing rate of autism, the numbers jump back up again.  Thus, the California studies on Autism reflected a slight decrease and then a climb again when it was reduced in some of the vaccines.  The whole situation is complex, mercury is in products, food, air, medicines, hospitals, thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, soil, water, vaccines, dental fillings, fluorescent lights, etc.  The high levels are already here, so now it will take a whole lot to reduce them, and it appears we are definitely not moving anywhere near fast enough on that issue.  Fortunately, there are some efforts underway.  The ADA is going to change the mercury filling issue here in America.  I can't remember what their deadline is, but I read they will be issuing a warning about it.  I can't remember now which organization was responsible for making the efforts for that to happen, but I sure appreciate it.

  2. A direct link between autism and mercury fillings has not yet been conclusively proven. It HAS been proven, however, that people with alzheimers disease have recovered after having their mercury amalgam fillings removed, so you'd think the rate for that would certainly have decreased.
