  1. surgical steel or any clean plastic should do the trick for you.

  2. i used a surgical steel earring for my nose and it never got infected...all of my piercings seem to get infected at some point but my nose never has..go with the surgical steel earring for sure

  3. first of all, it's not an infection. it's an allergic reaction.

and yes, chances are that it will happen to your lip. You will need an implant grade stainless steel or implant grade titanium labret stud. That contains absolutely no nickel and is what doctors use when you need pins installed in your foot or a pacemaker installed in your heart. ask the piercer if they use that material. if they don't, walk straight out!

email me at cnclara@netvigator.com if you have any questions.

  4. NOT plastic...yeah surgical stainless steel or titanium, they both are EXTREMELY hypo-allergenic, and perfect for piercings.
