My son is in the 2 grade i hate his principle. At first i couldn't put my finger on it but there is just something about him that is WRONG. A few weeks ago he told me that i couldn't have my dog on school property, when i wlk to pick him up. So, ok i now walk him to school and stay on the public sidewalk. I was told this morning to stay away from the school with the dog. I'm on a public sidewalk!!! Not to mention the Country Cluber's wives all bring there little dogs to pick up there kids and are always on the school property, no one has said anything to them... I though about bringing it up to the principle, But with this gut i know it will just make it worst for my son. Any Suggestion?

  1. is your dog a big dog? does he bark or growl around the  kids? does he seem dangerous? is he a dangerous breed? you dont give all the details for us to be able to decide whether he is picking or not, if it is a little dog that can be carried and contained completely then fine, if not, id complain too.

  2. Bring this up with the super intendant, or if you have to, contact the school board. If you're on public property and your dog does not show any aggression towards others, he canNOT stop you from bringing the dog up to the school as long as the dog doesn't go onto school property (though, can you blame him for not wanting doggy poo in the school yard?). And, if others are bringing their dogs to the school too, the rule must apply to them just as it does you.

Also, if he starts to make things tougher for your son at school because of you, you keep on the school board about it. They'll keep on his tail, and if it happens enough, he may be transferred to another school, or he may lose his job.

  3. Everyone has a boss.  Call the school system superintendent and ask him these questions.  You will get answers, and the principal will most likely back off.

  4. grrr that principle is just like my unfair teacher!opps oh im back  just transfer him or like talk to the high school teacher and just when a teacher finds out they''ll tell it to the principle and then u''ll just have to explane everything then she''ll  change.

  5. Go straight to the top, I just hate it when principals always want to find one person and pick on them all the time, I would ask the school board if it was or was not ok and for them to make a decision for all parents not a select few, and if they say it's ok then go ahead, and when the principal approaches you again tell him to take it to the board you already have.

  6. if it is like my school he will have a different one next year so you dont have 2 worry, but if its like other schools then (if there is another school close 2 u)transfer or talk to the superentendent of the school.

  7. What kind of dog is it?  Is it a large dog? Does it bark a lot?  Does it jump on people?

You have to see it from the principal's point of view.  He is probably afraid that the dog will hurt a child and the school will be held liable for it.

  8. hmmm  He may have thought you brought the dog back to spit him.

  9. Is your dog a big barker? Are the kids afraid of him? If so, rude principal aside, it would be a favor to the kids (especially little kids) not to bring him to school.

Otherwise, just make sure he's on a leash.  I agree you could send an email to the principal and cc the superintendant, and say you're just inquiring about the rule because you've been told not to even have your dog on the public sidewalk but have noticed other people are permitted to bring their dogs on school property, so you'd just like a clarification about what the rule is.

  10. Sounds like this principal is just picking at you. File a complaint with the school administration. The creep is hassling you on purpose.

  11. I can see him saying something about having a dog on school property. It is his job to protect his students and the property of the school (Don't want kids stepping in dog scat)

As far as the public sidewalk................I see no problem in it personally. I would call and talk to him and ask why your not allowed to have the dog on a public sidewalk. Maybe he thinks you had the dog on school property. But, I don't know.

There are only 8 days left of school. I would probably just not walk my dog to school but, that's just me.

  12. Call the school management. Ask them why he has this hate on you, is it because your son is not doing very well in school or has been upto some mischief? Or has you r do been upto mischief?
