  1. Well Alice in Wonderland is about as absurd as you can get, so i suggest that.  Have a star by the way...

  2. Alice in Wonderland is the ultimate absurdist classic. You also can't go wrong with the darkly-humored "Catch 22" by Joseph Heller.

  3. Terry Pratchett - Discworld Series

    Piers Anthony - Xanth Series

Robert Asprin - Myth, Phule and other series

John Zakour - The Plutonium Blonde, The Doomsday Brunette

John Kennedy Toole - A Confederacy of Dunces

    Voltaire - Candide

Douglas Adams - Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

All of these books contain vast amounts of humor and at least some small amount of absurdity and are just plain fun to read.

  4. Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide series, well pretty much any Doug Adams.

Kurt Vonnegut- Slapstick, Cat's Cradle, etc...

    Harlan Ellison
