I really love the New Zealand haka, how cool would it be if all rugby playing countries..

.... had a traditional dance?

Do you think the English could make a Morris dancing type haka?

How good would that be?

  2. jonquill. firstly it's not morris, it's Maori. secondly it's not dancing. it's a haka. 2 completely different things. the haka the All Blacks do is a challenge, not entertainment.

  5. that dance is part of n z  histroy ,, it would be really silly if other teams start dancing around the field  ,,,no one would accept it   ,,,

  6. Maybe we could have dance offs at the end of matches and who dislocates their jaw or tongue first wins? Additional points awarded for poaching other teams dancers etc,

  7. As a Kiwi I don't agree ... it's what makes us unique ... also I don't think you would get rugby players morris dancing ... esp if they had just seen the haka!

I have to agree with the person below me..Its Not a "dance" its a challenge being set to the opposition wich hasnt been made up outa no where its has been part of the maori and island heritage for many a year..and adapted by there sporting teams with pride...for any other countrys to try come up with their own would just be a mockery and a disgrace..

  10. I enjoy the Haka too but any more countries besides the AB's, Tonga & Somoa is too much. If all countries did it it would loose it's fire
