Under my eyes my skin is really thin, making it dark. (It's genetic) And I also have a little wrinkle that you can't notice. My problem is that my eyeliner runs into the little wrinkle making it noticeable. So I have two questions.

1) What is an good eyeliner that doesn't run.

(I use Maybelline Define-A-Line sitck)

(I've tried pencil, and it does the same.)

2) Is there anything I can put under my eye to lighten up and fill in the little wrinkle.

The wrinkle thingy isn't like from being old or anything, because I'm a teenager!

Thank you. =]

PS.something not too expensive!

PPS. What is a good eye shadow color for brown eyes?

  1. A good drugstore brand eyeliner that I recommend is Revlon's Colorstay Eyeliner. It's so long lasting that I have a hard time even washing it off!

For your under eye problems, I suggest applying a thin film of concealer under your eyes. Before applying on concealer, make sure your face is clean and moisturized. The concealer will blend easier on a smooth, moisturized surface. Your concealer should be one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Dab about three tiny dots on the dark areas under your eyes. Gently blend it with your ring finger (it has to least pressure so it won't tug on your delicate under eye). Your under eye dark circles should be less noticeable. The point is to make it less noticeable, not erase the darkness completely. Step back and make sure that everything is well blended and looks natural. Make sure that your concealer isn't noticeable. You don't want people to know that you have tell tell makeup on!

Afterwards, use some powder and lightly dust the area you applied concealer to - this helps set the concealer. Applying on concealer not only helps make your dark under eyes a bit less noticeable, but it will also act as a light barrier so there's less chance that your eyeliner will run into your wrinkle area.

Brown eyes can be accentuated with any color eye shadow, except for brown! The most commonly used color is purple. But really any color, blue, green, golds...etc. But purple is probably the most effective.

    Good luck and have fun!

  2. 1.  I have had great luck just using the cheap cover-girl pencils - not the kind you have to sharpen, but the kind that you twist and it comes up, if that makes sense.  If you're having trouble with the running, try using an eye-makeup -sized brush to apply some translucent loose powder around the corners of your eye to set the eyeliner.

    2.  Mary Kay has a good facial highlighting stick, but I know several other companies do as well.  You can dab a little under your eyes, and it will reflect the light better and disguise the dark circles.

    3.  Filling in the wrinkle - I have really like Oil of Olay's eye-pods in their regenerist line. I hear Garnier Fructis also has a new eye product out that's supposed to do the same and it's cheaper, but I haven't tried it yet myself.

    Good luck!

  3. Rimmel have great eyeliners and they aren't expensive either.

Don't worry about filling the wrinkle, just use a concealer under your eye to lighten it a little (but don't use too much or you'll get that cakey effect) and you could try putting an eyeshadow base over the wrinkle as this will stop your eyeliner from smudging. MAC paint pots are great, especially rubenesque, which is a natural brown/gold colour.

Brown eyes can get away with basically any eyeshadow shade, greens and golds are my favourites as I have brown eyes :)

  4. 1 the wrinkle thingy, if u don't notice it, don't worry about concealing it.  many ladies seem to put too much concealer under eyes and it just ends up looking more nasty.

#2 if you are using eyeliner on your lower lid, there is really nothing that won't run.  besides, it is not the most fashionable thing this season.  a better tip which also can help with dark circles is to get an angled eyeliner brush, damp it, and put a light color on the line under your eye.  try using eyeliner on your upper lid only.  if you apply foundation before applying eyemakeup it is also less likely to run.

#3 plum eyeliners on the upper lid only are good for bringing out brown eyes.  simplify the colors to match your eyes by trying out Almay's lline of perfect eyecolor.  they have eyeliners and shadows to coordinate to your eyecolor.
