I really need help, internet question?

Question

I have a pc, and my brother has a laptop, my computer is connected through a wired netowkr, and this netowrk also has a wireless feature, which my brother uses on his laptop. so basically we both use the same router, but mines just wired up to it lol. but i really want to know, what folder or whatever i have to put files in so that my brother can access them aswell, form his laptop? as much detail as possible please, thanks in advance (:

You need to go to the "properties" of my computer (i'm assuming you're both using win XP) and make sure you're both on the same WORKGROUP (in the computer name tab) Then you need to share a folder on your machine, and your brother should be able to browse "my network neighborhood" on his machine and see your shared folder. first u have to make a network link which u can from my network place, then u can place the file in either of the comp, urs or ur bro's, which can be access by both, by clicking on my network places, or Network if it is window vista, and voila!
