  1. You can't lose a significant amount of weight without being on a special diet and exercising and you can't target a specific area of the body to lose fat.  Your b***s might shrink because your body loses fat everywhere when you lose weight.  But I think a C cup is too big for a 5'1" frame anyway.

The best thing to do is write down everything you eat and drink for a week along with how many calories it is.  Then add everything up and find the average amount of calories you're eating per day.  Then cut that amount in half.  When you figure out your number, that's all you get for the whole day.  No cheating.

Don't worry about good carbs and bad carbs and all that.  A calorie is a calorie.  But keep in mind that 100 calories worth of chocolate is a lot less food than 100 calories of raisins.  Just giving up soda is a great way to get rid of a lot of your daily calorie intake.  If you crave sugar a lot, eat an apple or drink a small glass of fruit juice.  Pack your lunch instead of eating school lunch.  Try to break up your food intake into small snacks throughout the day instead of three large meals.  It helps your metabolism burn calories more efficiently and keeps you from being quite so hungry.  But you will be hungry all the time for the first week or so.  There is no painless way to lose weight.

In addition to diet, you need to be more active.  That doesn't mean you have to adopt a rigorous exercise routine, but you need to do something.  Just walking the dog for an hour a day and doing 50 sit ups while you watch tv will do wonders.

  2. It is best to pack your own lunch, but if not cut portions. I gained a lot of weight in High School - stick at beginning and 20-30 lbs overweight by the time I graduated.

I'm short as well so I know what you mean. I have been losing weight lately and here is what I have been doing.

    1. Stopped worrying about weight - but looked for results - flatter stomach, less giggly arms. etc. Because weight is a good general indicator but muscle weighs more so the weight you think is ideal may not be if you are lean but have muscle.

    2. Smaller portions. Like I make one thing and that is just what I eat for lunch (with some variety and healthy snacks like bananas). Lately its been homemade bagel pizzas - 1 bagel, spaghetti sauce of choice, and some cheese - cooked in oven. Now at school its more difficult but if you could bring a healthy alternate to your schools meals that would be the best. If not, cut the portions because the school meals I remember were really fatty or even if you don't bring a full meal - bring yogurt and fruit to supplement part of the school lunch.

    3. Increased exercise. Now I don't know where you live. I live in a smaller community so it is an option to walk to most places. So I walk, bikes are good to. Just be more active - even a few jumping jacks is better than nothing. Try to do cardio, muscle building exercise, and just activities. I have been playing volleyball and frisbee with people lately and this has worked my muscles a lot more. Be more active.

    4. Don't do crazy amounts of weight loss - it is best for our bodies to adjust to a smaller size over a period of time. This way we replace fat with muscle - not just lose fat.

  3. Stay away from soda pop (including diet soda pop). I would give you a web site for that but will respect your wishes. If you are interested, just google "Diet Soda Makes You Fat."

Drop the following food items from your diet:

White bread, white rice, white potatoes, french fries, potato chips, rice cakes, corn chips, fast food, junk food, sugary drinks, pancakes, syrup, waffles, candy and most breakfast cereals.

Start eating fresh fruits and vegetables and protein like fish and chicken (not fried). Drink at least 6 glasses of water throughout your day and with meals.

Walk at least 10,000 steps per day which would be around 4 miles. Work up to this if you are not used to walking that much. Be active. Co something you enjoy like riding your bike, roller blading, playing basketball or swimming. This will burn calories and develop muscle and tone your body to give you a nice shape.

  4. You can't lose weight in just one area, and you can't prevent weight loss in just one area. Your b*****s may or may not shrink...depends on your genetics. However, even if they do, they will still look in good proportions that you have now, so don't worry about looking like you have small b***s.

You need to do cardio, weight lifting, and yoga for a well-rounded, fabulous body. A great way to sneak the cardio in is to buy a second set of shampoo, conditioner, soap, a towel, and a hairbrush and put them in your locker. In the morning, jog or run to school. Have your clothes packed in your backpack, as well as a great quick breakfast, like an Odwalla or Clif or Kashi bar, natural juice, and a ziploc baggie with a serving of whey protein in it (don't forget your shaker cup). When you get to school, shower in the locker rooms and change. This also makes sure that you're never late for class :)

BRING YOUR LUNCH. Don't do school lunches! If you're too lazy to make your lunch, then you don't deserve to have a fabulous body, you know? This is YOUR health, YOUR body, YOUR goals...YOU need to bring YOUR food! Don't rely on the school to do it for you.

After school or during your lunch period, hit the weights real quick. Try the 5 of 5 workout (you can email me for that, it's a lot to post here and I don't want to type it all out if you aren't interested)...it takes only about 10 minutes and you're done.

  5. 30-60 minutes of cardio everyday and pack ur lunch. School lunches are the worst and they are filled with sodium and perservatives that are not heathy for you.
