  1. It may be a blessing in disguise, Maybe you can feed a raw diet, It does have to be specially prepared

  2. OK first - stay away from human food! Cat's are carnivores and need a proper feline diet. Human food causes obesity and other problems. Taurine which is an ingredient found in cat food is essential to cats and your cat will not get it from human food! Stop giving him human food no matter how much he begs and just buy some good quality canned cat food, most cats like it because it tastes good. Even if your cat doesn't like it at first don't feed him human food he will eat the cat food when he is hungry. Ask your local pet store to recommend a good diet for your cat. It will be hard at first to say no but if you want him to live a good healthy and happy life it is very important.

  3. Your kitten thinks he's human. He eats what you eat.

What happens when you eat from a can of tuna ?

  4. I do not want to be mean to you but you are going to kill your cat.  You are feeding him things that are not good for him.  A lot of time and research has gone into what a proper cat diet is and if you do not understand it and can prepare it properly at home, the best thing for you to do is buy a proper one and feed it to your loved one.

You are raising a baby, would you feed your baby candy all day just because it was cute and you felt like it?   Do not let this kitten boss you around.  You have to be the parent and make the proper/wise decisions for it.  That is what being a loving, caring, and RESPONSIBLE pet owner is all about.

Another example - when he gets older and wants to run outside, are you going to let him go because you do not want to be the mean bad guy??  No, you should not, it is too dangerous.  Well, this is kind - of  like that.  It stinks to be the "adult" sometimes but do it because you love them.   :)

There,  I hope you are not mad I vented.  I know it can be hard to resist them when they look at you the way they do.  Try putting him in a different room when you are eating.  I had to do that with one of mine years ago.  It helped a lot.  I know you guys will be ok.  Enjoy him - He sounds like a real spitfire!!!    :)

  5. Don't feed it to him it is not healthy.Obviously someone has been feedinghim human food already or he wouldn't want it.

  6. Cats are smarter than people.

If kids told their mothers they can only eat Macdonald's, the mother would say ok/

The cat knows if it doesn't eat the whiskas, you will give it something better. Only give it Whiskas and in 3 days you will have a cat that eats whiskas

  7. Go on a diet of chicken tika masala that will cure the cat of wanting your food

  8. try fancy feast diet, my cat was the same exact way! to this day when i get salami to eat she comes running and wants it and when im eating chicken she sits with me waiting for me to feed her. But its bad for the cat. I tried whiskas and some other brands and she didnt like how they tasted I guess. As soon as i fed her fancy feast. She fell in love. It took me a bit to figure out what was her favorite diet and what she would and wouldnt eat. Now she's very fond of the gourmet chicken feast by fancy feast. She hates the taste of whiskas and Iam's. everytime that i tried giving it to her, she would spit it right back out and refuse to eat. Try fancy feast. It might work start with a tuna diet. They love it then change it eventually. too much tuna isnt good for them. tuna 2 times a week and try different flavors til you figure out what hes very fond of. Let me know if this works.

  9. of course he wants salami and mayo.  its pure fat.  Terrible for us. and terrible for him too

you need to decide if your going to feed him comercial cat food of high quality.  OR home made cat food following a recipe and not including salami.  home made food and raw diets are much better then the comercial ones, But require you to actually cook for your cat, there are no chemicals, preseritives or lovely additives like soy or digested meat by product.

either way you go.  set a bowl of food on the floor for your kitten.  show it to him and leave it sit for a hour then take it up.   Dry foods can be left out longer, wet or fresh foods only should be left 1-2 hours inside  and 45 mins outside

He will eat, when he is hungery

  10. OK...I wonder if human food is so bad for our cats....what did they eat 100 years ago?  People have been having pets for 200 years...do you think they went to the pantry and opened up a canned cat  or dog food? NO !! of course not!! This whole idea of "only cat food is good for cats" is wrong!! I know it will put money into the manufacturer's pocket so they spread this theory. I always had cats as a child and remember when I grew  up we did not buy special food for our cats or dogs...they ate left over food or what we ate... trimmings from chicken (they loved it) we cooked some chicken for them sometimes, but they were happy whatever they got...Ohhhh and they loved fresh cow milk from the farm. Never had any health problem...they lived over 13-15 years....and had kittens too. They were healthy cats and dogs. So cats and dogs had a good life too, long before they started producing canned food for them. I don't know since when can you  buy produced cat food, but where I grew up the other side of the world you can find these products on the shelves only about from  1980.

I feed my 3 cats now with cat food because it is more convenient, but one of my cat loves peoples food, and sometimes I give him a little.
