I really need help finding a good spinning real for casting plastic worms what stiffness and best lb test?

  1. go to ebay and buy a Garcia Mitchell 300 or 400  - look it over and make sure it looks good and the seller has a good rating.

    when you get it go to Walmart or basspro (basspro.com) and buy a 6ft or 6.5 foot ugly stick

    next I'd go with fireline about 20 lb test (it's only as thick as 8lb mono line)

    with this combination you will have a reel that is tried and true - I have been buying Garcia Mitchell reels for decades - the older ones are the best. I often give used reels as gifts - anyone that knows spinning reels knows older Garcia Mitchell reels (1950's to 1978 or so) are the best

    Ugly stick rods will give you the BEST bang for the buck too..
