I really need help making a family tree

i really would love to make a family tree for my grandmother & mother for christmas but i have to start now because our family is HUGE. and when i say huge, i mean huge. my great-aunt dolly has 12 children of her own, then 43 grandchildren & 24 great-grandchildren. so as you can imagine, this is probably going to be pretty impossbile but it's something i really want to do for them. but since our family is so big, i don't even know where to begin. i thought i heard before that there are websites that just do everything for you, if you can give them some information. if anyone knows how i can do this, please let me know!

I found www.geni.com. a few weeks back, and so far it's been free.  You can make a MASSIVE family tree, mine will soon be traced back to the 14th century.  You can also put the e-mail of a family member in there so they can add their own info.

Hmmm...I havent found one like that yet...you usually have to pay for those.

I use Family Tree Maker.  You can also use Family Group Sheets that are available online.

Start with yourself and your family.  Once you have all of your family information (Father, Mother, siblings, nieces, nephews), then do the same for your maternal and paternal Aunts and Uncles.

If you have contact information with all of your living relatives, it should go fairly quickly.
