  1. try puting it in the sun or blowdrying it at low heat for a while

  2. call Comcast, its Comcastic

  3. You can probably get a new cable box from your cable provider for free, or for a low cost, if you explain what happened :]

  4. call some peeps that go to school and do this stuff for a living, iunno this kinda stuff

  5. put the main parts of the tv in rice so it will dry out. idk how it works but when my cell when through the washing machine, i put the battery in rice and now my phone works! i hope that helps!

  6. you might need a new box but don't touch it unplug it and let it dry so give it a day or two after that try it and if it doesn't work then you need to buy a new one.

  7. I asked my partner for you and he said that you've probably shorted it out. Try a new tv cable. They should only be around $10. Do you still get sound?

  8. Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but,

once water hits those circuit boards, well they may never be functional again.

But give a day or two to dry out, if that doesn't work, yeah time for a new one.

  9. Uh if it hasent been working for the

    past 6 hours its broke

    get a new one

  10. there is nothing you can do.

you can put a fan on it but most likely there is permante damage.

you should get a new one.

    sorry=]

  11. bonk the top of it a few times! heheheh

  12. try it tomorrow  if  not  you will have  to  get  another  box  from  cable  place

  13. 6 hours? it should be dry and since you said it still isn't working, you have to by a new one.

  14. First I would say call a cable person to come and fix it and if they cant then get a new flat screen television they work the longest and better!

  15. You could try taking the box apart in order to dry it but i think that you may need to call the cable company to have them look at it or bring it to someone who specializes in that type of maitinance.

  16. call the cable guy, or maybe check to see that you have everything connected correctly it should have dried by now and be working just fine

  17. go to the nearest repair shop

dont mess with those wires anymore

    it could get worse

    more damage

    higher expenses

  18. this is a hard one to answer.  if i were in you situation i would take it apart and blow dry it off and let it sit out in the sun to dry out.  the worst thing to do now is to turn it on wet.  if that doesnt work you can call up the cable company and tell them its not working.  DONT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE WATER.  If you have cox and im not sure about other companies but if they iniciate to go to you house to get it or fix it its free of charge. i hope i could help

  19. well call a tv guy duh.

  20. let the water dry, then plug everything back in, if that dont work you might have to get a new box! hoped I helped

  21. The best way is to get a 'new cable'.

  22. More than likely you're going to have to buy a new one.. take it to your local repair shop, or call the company you have your cable with and see if they have some sort of knowledge on water damage.

    Good luck

  23. Get a new cable

  24. you should have turned it off and unplugged it immediately but now its sounds like you "fried" it.

  25. For any electronic device that has been exposed to water, place the device in a bucket of rice and cover it. The rice will absorb the extra moisture in a few hours and the device should work after that.

  26. you should buy a new tv just to be safe. if you dont want to spend that much money, just buy a new cable and switch it. if you leave it there and then always turn the TV on, you can cause a fire. i dont think you want ur house to get on fire.

  27. Unplug it, and let it dry till tomorow, if it dosnt work, its trash

  28. If your cable doesn't turn back on in 24-48 hours it dead and you should try to turn it on ever hour or so.  Otherwise get a new cable and I would suggest the ones that water can't hurt it that bad It it suits your tv

  29. it sounds like it may be fried, you shouldnt turn something like that back on after water has been spilled on it. your best hope is to keep it turned off and dry it the best you can (try using a hair dryer). goodluck!

  30. try it again....if it dosent then you sadly have to buy another one. You should have let the water out and let it dry before puttin it back

  31. deny knowledge. just say its not working and the cable company will replace the box. no problems.
