At the risk of losing 5 points, does anybody know what to do I have a Memory Stick Pro-Duo card that works with a Sony Cybershot I got a few months ago, and I wasn't really good about safely removing the hardware (that's what I figure is wrong with it but I might be wrong...) and see one day we plugged it into my laptop (HP Entertainment special edition something or another) and we were looking through the pictures and flipping them over (horizontal ones to verticle) when all of a sudden one of the pictures said "Cannot be displayed." So we went back and the ones we'd already looked at still showed up.

But now when I plug it into the camera it says "Format Error" and I try to put it in the computer it says "You must format" so when I try to format it it got halfway to the end and stopped and said "Cannot format"!!!! I'm going CRAZY and I really have hope those pictures are still on there is there ANYTHING I can do besides hope and pray that one day this card works again???

The brand of the card is Lexar and it's a 1gb if that helps

  1. Format the card on your comp and then try it on the card.

  2. I think you should format it once more using DOS prompt.

For that go to run & then type cmd. After that type "format <drive name:>" and press enter.
