I really need help with this its about mac and pc's ?

i have a mac but im taking computer applications 1 and 2 this year and i am required to buy a flash drive for my computer because i have to do homework on my computer . is there any programs i can download for free that can convert the data from my mac into a format compatible with pc? i really need help because she said the only other thing i can do is use friends computers and most of my friends don't have one can i get some help!?

I think it only matters what the file format is. all of these files like .txt .jpeg and .avi should run on both computers. Make sure the file format your data is can be recognized by both the pc and Mac.

I have the whole Office pack for my Mac and when I save a document from Word (on my Mac, onto a flash drive), it opens just fine on a regular PC.

Maybe I'm just lucky or something, but I don't think there's a special format you have to save the document as...
