Hi everybody, or anybody hehe. It's my older sister's 21st tomorrow and it just struck me that she would really enjoy a speech. I want it to be really heart warming with a good kick of humour as well. Anyone who has a knack for that kind of thing could really help me out here. It would be much appreciated. Thankx guys!

  1. You need a less formal life.

    A speech isn't required.

If you are to speak - it's not like your OBAMA - and you need to watch a teleprompter.  Just speak from your heart.

Humor?  there is plenty humor in everyday life... you shouldn't have to QUOTE SOMEONE ELSE.

Have her:  Be real, Speak from the heart, maybe have a small list of things to talk about.

A prepared speech for such an event... is cheating your "audience".

    I'm assuming that she's having a party?

  2. my sis had an 18th and every1 was making speeches so i stood out, had nothing prepared but i just spoke from the heart and thanks be to GOD i made a funny joke ("she's been a great sister the last couple of years..."

i would recommend speaking from the heart, maybe throw in a funny (maybe slightly embaressing story of the two of you and..maybe relate that to how she's going to make something great of herself...?

Good luck and GOD BLESS :D

  3. I'm glad to see so many here,

And tonight, we'll have some fun,

    Because my sister , ______,

She has just turned twenty one.

She has always been a great sister,

The most precious there could be,

She even held on to her favorite stuffed animal,

Until the grand old age of five.

I remember well the last one,

Being pried from her small hand.

And given to a mouse named Mickey,

On a trip to Disney Land.

    We  have watched her grow,

And been a loving part of it all,

    _________ always has been,

At the center of our heart.

    Through those early years,

Were many things that gave us pleasure,

Family vacations and trips to the park,

Are memories that I will treasure.

Now she grew up as young girls do,

Sometimes I thought my head would pop,

As I was dragged along the high street,

As she tried clothes in every shop.

They say that genes are passed down,

So there could be a small chance,

That she got some from her father,

Because this girl knows how to dance !!

And when I watch her dancing,

    Something gets me deep inside,

My eyes sometimes get quite cloudy,

And my heart swells up with pride.

My sister so full of love,

    Her compassion never ends,

You can ask her two best friend's,

    They're her two four-legged friends.

She doesn't limit that to animals,

    She oozes love for others,

There is _____, here, her boyfriend,

And of course her younger brothers.

One more lady I should mention,

    Well, I don't think I have a choice,

___________is one of her her little princess,

Yes, of course, that is her mother.

    ___________ is from Essex,

Her fashion's always 'in the zone'

But I'm sure that she'd be lost

    Without her precious mobile phone.

    Maybe someday in the future,

She will make her father smile,

As she links her arm in mine,

And lets him walk her down the aisle.

And who knows, if we get lucky,

    Depending what the future brings,

Maybe someday we will get to push,

My own grandkids on the swings.

But now I'll ask you all to stand up,

If you would, please raise your glasses,

    To our darling ___________,

She's the most beautiful of lasses.
