  1. I would also check with your parents and relatives and specific Indian tribe (if you know it).  They figure these things out and should be able to help you.

  2. I want to know the same thing...

  3. Do you know where the full-blooded Indian is in your family?  An Indian parent makes you 1/2 Indian.  Grandparent makes you 1/4.  Great grandparent makes you 1/8 and so on.  Just go back far enough to get to one Indian parent and one non-Indian parent.  It gets a little more complicated if you have Indian somewhere in the heritage of both of your parents.  Then you may need to consult a geneologist.

  4. Do a family tree and work your way up..WHy do you want to know the percentage...if your in canada the indian act determines if your native or not...in the states I have no idea.

  5. Just start by finding the first person that is 100% and go from there. I have my family tree (on all sides) back to the 1500's. So if you need some more info just email me and I may be able to get you started. :-)

  6. That depends on where in you family the native blood comes in.If one of your Grand parents was a full blooded Native  that would make you 1/4.

  7. Try to follow back your family tree!
