Question:

I really need to talk to a helicopter pilot. someone who can answer my questions?

preferably someone who has gone through a civilian helicopter school and obtained a career with it. someone i could email would be great. thanks!

  1. You might first spend some time on internet pilot forums. Even browsing through the old discussions will give you many different perspectives from many actual pilots. There are often questions about flight training and starting your career.

  2. You have to options:

    1) Go to your local airport where there are helicopters based at and just ask around for who to talk to and try to find out who the pilot is of the choppers and how to contact them.

    2) use this link: http://flighttraining.aopa.org/learntofl...

         -just put in your state and look for an instructor who is based at an airport by you. You can try putting in the town where the airport is, but it sometimes doesn't work so just settle with putting in the state. Click the instructors name and it will show the airport's name where he is based and his email, possibly his phone number.
