  1. No I would not put it on there... If worse comes to worse, you say oops I thought that didn't count.. But if you wanna be sure -- ask your welfare department.

  2. I'd tell them.

I'm curious.  Which kind of SSA benefits do you get?  You sound too young to be retired and I'd hate to think you are disabled....

SSI never counted for the rebate.

  3. Yes you do, because it is income.

  4. Personally,

I would tell you right off the bat, no. You don;t have to. The reason being, is that the stimulus check was money that was collected as tax, but possibly intended to be used in some other areas of our societal needs. But, in order to boost the economy, Mr. Bush suggested this plan. So, to me, its just a little bit more of what you were supposed to get from your tax return.

However, Since you're getting foodstamps, its best to keep everything in the light. Be honest about these kinds of income because things like this, can be traced back, and you definitely do not want to get into any legal issues because over 300, 600, or 900 dollars.

  5. Trust me... the worker already knows about the stimulous check (well publicized rebate) ... so ask them whether to report it or not. Yes, you should tell them by law as well as conscience. It's not worth messing with your food stamps and continuation of benefits, is it???
