  1. they should try tharanga (dont know about spell)

  2. i don care bout him, da fool.

  3. I think he will be dropped if Sri Lanka looses this test match.  Otherwise he will be persisted with.

  4. No. It's better give him one more chance.

  5. sorry, but the sri-lankan selectors didnt think so...

anyways, he just failed twice in a row...if we(SL) go on to lose the match, then we might have to think about dropping inconsistant players. but vandort still has a chance to prove himself in the second innings:P

  6. Vandort's performances in the descending order are given below for ready reference.

    1) 2002-03 SRL v BAN: 1 Match, 2 innings, 201 runs.

    2) 2007-08 SRL v ENG: 3 Matches, 4 innings, 213 runs.

    3) 2007-08 SRL v BAN: 3 Matches, 3 innings, 174 runs.

    4) 2005-06 BAN v SRL: 2 Matches, 2 innings, 104 runs.

    5) 2006 ENG v SRL: 2 Matches, 4 innings, 120 runs.

    6) 2007-08 WIN v SRL: 2 Matches, 4 innings, 107 runs.

    7) 2001-02 Asian Championship: 1 Match, 1 innings, 36 runs.

    8) 2007-08 AUS v SRL: 2 Matches, 4 innings, 100 runs.

    9) 2008 SRL v IND: Series in progress.

He has an average of about 42 runs per innings which is on par with that of Atapattu and Jayasuriya. Let him play for few more series so that he will find his form. In the meanwhile, Sanga, Mahela, Warnapura and Thilan Samaraweera and Dilshan are doing great job. I don't know how any one else can replace Vandort.

  7. Vandort has been under performing. Let's hope he gets his head in and gets a score in this next innings. Sri Lanka won't be so quick to drop him, he's been quite good in the past.

Talking about Sri lanka test openers. I'm really impressed with Warnapura. i was watching the way he plays the ball, and i think he would be an excellent opener for One dayers, well he's worth a try.

Sangakarra should not be pushed up as an opener for ODIs, because he's a man who can stay in for the whole innings and he has wicketkeeping as well. So your looking at a potentiol burn out.

  8. yes,.... he took Mavan atapattu's place , marvan is simply ,..irreplaceable~but warnapura fills left hander sanath's place very well~
