  1. Venice is just amazing. I hope you like it there.

There are many places such as the serrinisima. It's a great tourist site. It's that bridge in a lot of movies.

The main transportation is water based.

So a gondola tour would be excellent.

  2. Start with the basics:

1st day: Doges Palace - you'll spend an entire half day here. One museum a day is plenty

2nd day:  Sant Marc's Basilica and then a stroll on down to the arsenale.

3rd day: The Accademia and a stroll along the Salute & the Zattere (stop at Nico's for an ice cream)

4th day: Ca Pesaro - a collection of bits and pieces of art collection throughout the yeas of the Venice Biennale's. Great (modern) art in a kick *** building. Top floor houses a collection of Japanese weponery.

5th day - not a saturday - go to the Jewish Ghetto, see the museum and get in on a tour of the Synagoges. You'll be in for a treat.

6th day: The Correr Museum in Saint Marks square (Piazza San Marco)... and a spritz in one of the out door cafès.

7th day: Get lost in the city - go for a walk and try to get dissorintated. Take the camera, a book, your sketch pad. It's actually fun and you really never ever get lost in Venice (unless you are in a hurry to make it to an appointment!). Explore the back "streets".

8th day: Go to the Lido - rent a bike and do the back streets to see some of the lovely villas or explore the parks.

9th day: Visit the "Marciana Library" the building was finished in 1553... see how a library used to be. Drop by Harry's bar afterwards for Bellini or even better a martini!

    10th day: Explore the Giudecca.

Gut how long are you staying?!!!!
