go back to the shop and return it

Take it back to the store, or contact the manufacturer.  It is their duty to provide you with the ability to play the game, ie a serial number.

erm all games come with serial, so you cant buy it from any shop without it, and if they did not include the instruction book, take it back to the shop and get it.

Unless you downloaded it...shock horror
