  1. And three weeks ago you wanted a ferret.

Sorry - you're no ready for either.  Like most young children (you're 12 - you shouldn't even be on here) you have the attention span of a squirrel and your parents realize that.  I'm just glad they didn't get you a ferret because I have seen FAR too many times ferrets nearly starved to death or dying from an untreated disease because the young child who owned it grew bored of it and ignored it.  And odds are, you would have done the same with a kitten.

So turn off the computer and go do your homework.  And meanwhile I'll report you for being too young for Yahoo Answers.

  2. tell them how many cats can die everyday because people dont adopt them and make them fell all sad and stuff.

    hope this helps you.

  3. tell them that cats are really easy to take care of! mine eats and sleeps all day. the only work you have to do with cats is take them to the vet, clean the litterbox, and thats it. They are independent creatures, not like dogs in which you have to walk them, etc. oh and also tell them that you promise that you will take care of it, works every time ;)

  4. I know you want a kitten, but older cats, like a year old, are much easier to take care of and usually much calmer.

  5. tell them you will take care of it. Fill up the food bowl, fill up the water bowl. Clean the litter box. Thats how I got my parents to say yes. and there are 2 people in my family who are allergic to cats.

  6. Think about it carefully, do you really want one? Sure they're cute bundles of fun but are you capable of taking care of her/him for its whole life?

Pets are forever not just for xmas!

    ok lecture over!

Keep on about how well you'll look after her/him and say that it could benefit you later on in life; learning how to look after a living creature and it could help you when you have kids!

i dropped that line in when i was 11 and have had my lil cutie Emmy for 3 years now!

    Good luck!
