  1. Kind of like the Tazmanian Devil on No Doze and crack.

They run, bite, bark, jump, chew, rip, pee, p**p, bark...

My mom has an 11 month old Yorkie and she's still a crazy demon dog.

  2. my friend has one and they are hyper, wild and try to control the house. They yip and yap and dont stop. Frankly they are an annoyance. I would not be able to stand that kind of pet.

  3. You want a puppy and you are pregnant? Do you think that might be a little much to take on all at once..?

Puppies are A LOT of work!

  4. High energy.  You should look at the humane society... sometimes they have full blooded dogs.

  5. HIGH ENERGY! However, every dog has their own personality.

I love small dogs. I have a chihuahua/rat terrier mix I got from a shelter as a puppy. She is the BEST dog I have ever had. I would certainly check out shelters - many shelters have purebreds and some shelters specialize in one type of dog - so see if you can find a Yorkshire Terrier Rescue in your area if you are set on a Yorkie. My husband has another mutt from a shelter he got before I met him and his dog is great. Mixes can be wonderful dogs as well. I was set on a purebred but so happy I got my little dog - and I felt really good about rescuing her.

  6. Well, every puppy is going to have a different personality, so some may be more or less boisterous. But usually Yorkshire Terriers are very energetic puppies. They're lovable, sweet, good with other dogs and kids as long as they're introduced to them, but they can be one stubborn breed. You have to be very consistent with training, or it'll take forever. They also tend to bark a good bit, but they can be trained out of that. But as long as you can keep up with their energy, it's a great breed.

You can purchase one at a breeder, but make sure you thoroughly question the breeder about their lineage, so you don't have hereditary defects in the long run. Try your hardest to get a warranty with your puppy, in case something happens.
