  1. Be happy with your own!  Put on accents sound terrible!  I love the Spanish and French accents but I don't want to sound French or Spanish.

  2. Which Irish accent are you looking for? Every region has its own particular sound. Me personally, I like the accents of the south-west, Cork, Kerry, Limerick.

Here's a thought: look for radio stations that are online. One I listen to a lot is Limerick Live 95 FM, but feel free to google others.

  3. Listen to someone with an accent long enough and you will naturally begin speaking that way.

  4. I dont think i have an accent because im used to it but I live in Dublin and there is some reaaaallly dublin accents which i notice e.g a Greystones Dublin accent is really irish sounding. I dont notice the accents of my friends though cause im used to it.

A typical dublin accent would be Carly Smithson from American Idol.

A Northern ireland accent is completely different, they pronunce words like 'northern ireland' like 'norn airlend'

We would say 'keri' like 'kerrey', i cant really explain it.

Try listening to this website. Its the radio station that i listen to and see if you can pick up some words from that, you can listen live.

  5. i suppose you are another crazy american?oh dear...

  6. You could listen to us talk long enough to kind of catch on, but unless you live here for a while and are exposed to the accent long enough, there's not really any other way.

I don't know how to explain HOW I talk, exactly. How do you talk with an American accent?? It's something we just DO.

Sorry I know that was a really crappy answer but I don't know what else to tell ya.

  7. be yourself, you shouldnt want to sound like sum1 else..lol...but if you rlly want an accent,go live in ireland for 5-10yrs...good luck with thatt..lol
