I really want braces!!?

Question

i want braces and if the dentist say u dnt need em can u get em anyways im going to get my teeth checked out tomarro if i need em i have cavitys and i want braces wow!! i really want my bottom teeth and top to be perfect what do u think about my teeth?

you dont need them my teeth are way worse and i really wish i had teeth like u!

Your teeth are fine!

But they are a pain and it does hurt for awhile. And they are NOT cheap!

your teeth are fine! If you really do want them, you can get them, but i don't think you need them. Remember that braces aren't cheap.

There is nothing to say that you cannot get braces, even though you don't need them (assuming that you are old enough to receive treatment). However, it would be extremely unwise to begin orthodontic treatment if you currently have problems with cavities.

Keep in mind that orthodontics is not always a pleasant experience and patients are often left disappointed with the results.

It would be best to consult with an orthodontist and they will then evaluate whether or not you should receive treatment and also WHY you want treatment. Your dentist and orthodontist may be reluctant to give you unnecessary treatment not only because it can be painful and increases the risk of dental caries (cavities), but because if you go into treatment expecting to have "perfect" teeth at the end of treatment, you are bound to be disappointed.

Think very carefully about this very expensive treatment.
