I really want the Motorola Hiptop, but my mum says I have to earn it :S HELP ME!!!!?

Well, I've been wanting the Hiptop for a few weeks now, but now I really want it, like I NEED IT. All the mobile phone's I have had are really bad and now ive seen this one i want it more than anything! Now, a girl in my class who i don't particuarly like told me she's getting it on THURSDAY. She'll be getting all the attention, sporting her new Hiptop, and I was planning on showing mine off but now that she is getting it thats impossible!

I spoke to my mum about getting it, and she says I have to "Earn" it and she told me off today because i didn't walk our fat little pug dog, but that was because I had 2 and half hours worth of homework... and i am only in year 7! So, she said I had to walk the dog, unpack the dishwasher and do serveral chores until i can get it.

Then she yells at me because i don't treat her nicely, which I don't alot of the time, but that's because she's horrible to me and she used to be nice but now she's all tight and harsh.

WHAT DO I DO TO GET THE HIPTOP?

WHAT JOBS? HOW CAN I BE NICE TO HER WITHOUT SUDDENLY LOSING MY TEMPER [AS USUAL]?

PLEASE HELP ME I AM SOOOO WANTING THE HIPTOP!

you need to talk to your mom and tell her how you feel. maybe you can come to a better agreement. be mature and sit down and talk to her about everything. who knows, you might get your way. and begging doesn't work.

You're only 7....you've got a LOT of maturing to do. At 7 I don't see a lot of "employment options" if your school work takes several hours to complete. Best bet is to listen to your mom (aka: mum) and respect her. It may not make sense to you, or you may not want to do what she asks, but if it's not actually harming you then do what she says because parents do know what's best for their kids.

It could be she doesn't want you to just think it's a "cool" thing but to really respect the phone as a tool. Above all keep in mind she's paying for it and the decision is in her hands, so drop the attitude and do what she asks and that will get you what you want.

Stop acting like a spoiled BRAT.  Your mother owes you only these:

Food

Clothing

Shelter

and an education till you are out of high school!

Go babysit, wash neighbors windows, do yard work.  Earn the money yourself!  She already gives you everything else.
