I really want this kitten!?

Question

Well yesterday, I went to go see a kitten (4 months old)

named Thunder.

I think.

Not sure because there was a lot of them.

But she was just the cutest little thing and she could NOT leave my side. And I asked my mom she said to ask my dad, so that means if my dad says no then no but if he says YES then YAY!

I have really never had a pet.

Just a few fish and 2 birds.

But they dont do much and mine aren't even that messy so we dont have to clean up as much as others.

She's free.

But I need to get her shots.

And she still drinks her mothers milk so we wont be getting her until probably like October.

But I need to know how to persuade my dad.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

I also have depression and I thought getting a pet might help me because it was suggested.

Why don't you tell him everything you just said here? Plus you can always mention that you will be responsible for feeding it, cleaning it and playing with it and that he wouldn't have to worry about doing it himself. No hurt in trying that right?

Invite your Dad to go with you to visit the kitten and show him that you have done some research about how to care for a cat. You could maybe get a quote from a vet about the cost of vaccinations and spaying and tell your Dad you've already thought about how you might cover these expenses yourself (by doing odd jobs about the house, doing some babysitting etc).

I hope he agrees - my cats give me so much comfort and pleasure.

Do something really really nice for your parents. Maybe you showing you are ready for a responsibility that big they will reward you and let you have the kitten.
