I really want to be Odette/Odile in Swan Lake?

Our ballet school is performing Swan Lake next June. I've been dancing for 12 years.

What specific things should I be really working hard at right now in order to show my instructor that I'm ready to take on the role?

  1. Practice a lot.

    Watch some youtube videos of the solos and study very good how the hands, feet and gestures are. You can also rent a movie of a Swan Lake show. Try learning one of the solos, and showing your instructor. Good Luck at it. Practice a lot, 'cause they will be competition for the place.
