1) Get an agent who specializes in working with youth and young adults.  You can also get a manager.  A manager will help you plan your career.  Also, have a comedic and a dramatic monologue prepared.  These people may have you audition for them before they sign you.

2) Do you have a headshot and a resume?  You need to have those printed.  It's a basic necessity in the business.  You have to bring those to auditions.

3) Try to meet casting directors.  Get familiar with the ones who work on Nickelodeon shows.  You can look that up on imdb.  The casting director for iCarly is Krisha Bullock.  Also, you can meet casting directors through casting director workshops (you have to pay, though).  Some workshops are good, some not so good, but you are still getting the chance to meet and audition for the casting director.  The ones I know of in LA are Act Now!, The Network Studio, and The Actor's Key.

4) Once you have your headshots and resume, sign up on nowcasting.com and lacasting.com.  Those are necessary sites for those just starting out in the business.  Especially if you don't have an agent.  Sometimes agents will find you through there.  If you get an agent, also sign up on actorsaccess.com.  That is one more important site that casting directors post audition notices on.

5) Once you get auditions, be the best you can be with all your talent and try to book the jobs!  Then you will be on your way.  :)
