I really want to be an actress!?

Question

hey! im 14 im very easy going & out going. i've been in a dozen plays. i've had singing dancing & acting classes. but i live in a tiny town in north carolina. and there is no way to get noticed out there. if yu bring it up to anyone in NC. i bet only 1 out of 10 have heard of it. i cant drive myself to raliegh or charlotte. but i have wated to be an actress or singer since i had my first play. its my passion! but how do i get noticed? AND is there any casting calls for auditions for moves or TV shows around raliegh? so i can get a ride there? i've practically been acting in anything i could since i was 4 years old!

so pleaseeee help!!

or send audition tapes to the agencies here in L.A.

Well Jessi you sound like a sweet girl and i hope everything works out for you. I did a search for North Carolina Talent Search and didn't come up with much. In fact most of the links were about a science contest or something.

this link was also on the page (along with some others that didn't seem too promising) all you do is enter your email address and they send info I guess. just be careful, there are a lot of people just trying to get your money. If this link I give you asks for money, forget it and delete it. (also try to find an unsubscribe button)

you shoudl do some classes!participate in plays! build up your resume! get an agent! do auditions! get headshots!

and for an agent go to talentagents.blogspot.com and scroll down till you find city nearest you

read everythign you see! and click on words in blue but not double udnerlined ones and i suggest that you sign up with alan baltes go to first site and look at right column it explains everything! he wont be an agent just help you out and its a one time fee of 30 dollars and totally worth it!

honestly, if u want 2 b in the performing industry and u aren't willing to drive to big cities, your screwed. search for an acting school near you get some training and most schools also help you find auditions, just avoid signing contracts that last years, google "acting auditions teen girl whatever city"its surprising what you can find(sometimes even cities that r slightly larger that yours, and nearby will have more results, my suggestion is to look for auditions, but in the meantime buildup your resume. get a headshot (8x10)
