see my mom is ok with it and she really wants me to do it too. because she did it when she was 16. i am 13 but i will stay with an aunt and uncle. the thing is that my dad doesn't want me to do it. because he thinks i will start dating and get into trouble. his sister got pregnant at 16, but i am always telling him that i am not her, and that i am not going to do that. how can i get him to let me do this? It is a great opportunity and this is the only year i will be able to do it. thx for the help!

  1. I personally think 13 is far to young to become an exchange student, at least wait until your in high school! Well for when you get into high school, here are some programs to go with:

Rotary is a good program. If you want to find a website for it you need to search something like this: "Los Angeles California Rotary" but replacing it with where you live. Then email someone on there and tell them your interested in the Youth Exchange.

    Here are some other websites:

    http://www.usa.afs.org/usa_en/home

    http://www.yfu-usa.org/

And here is a forum with exchange students, it's really helpful.
