  1. You need to practice more. My record is like 1 min 20 sec underwater & I'm still trying to break the record.

  2. By holding your breath for 1 minute 32 seconds!

  3. As above, practice.

Also before you take the deep breath to start timing, take 5 or 6 really deep breaths to oxygenate your blood really good.

The record for breath holding without breathing pure oxygen is 8 minutes, 58 seconds.

David Blaine recently set the record by holding his breath for 17 minutes and 4 seconds. This was after breathing pure oxygen for 23 minutes.

  4. make sure you push out your stomach when you suck in air at the beginning

when holding your breath, it is important for minimal movement, the more you move your body around when you hold your breath, the more oxygen your body requires, making it harder to hold your breath

do a lot of deep breathing excercises such as yoga, these help increase lung capacity

  5. Is that underwater or above? What I do when I want to work on my (above water) breath holding:

    hold for 15 sec

    breathe for  15 sec

    hold for 30

    breathe for 30

    hold for 45

    breathe for 45

    ...and so on

  6. idk just practice holding ur breath???

  7. is this your hobby..fun

  8. Hold your breath under warm water.. its easier to hold if for longer.

  9. Dam thats impressive, what helps me is closeing my eyes, but thats kind of scary, I wouldn't want you to pass out, you should probly be complely conscious and aware of your surrounding during this. find a way to relax your self completly and it'll slow your heart rate down slightly causeing you to require less oxygen.
