Question:

I really want to but I don't want to?

I have had a tree with a teddy bear on a swing painted on my wall since I was 3. There are butterflies, birds, flowers and grass also. I really want to repaint, but I have grown so attached to it I don't want to. I'm afraid that if I repaint I will want to put it back the way it was and then I won't be able to. It's really very one of a kind, but I have a love/hate relationship with it. What should I do?

And, if I put wallpaper over it, when I take the wallpaper off, will the painting be intact?

Thanks :)

  1. Does it take up all the walls in the room? If not, make the one wall with the bear on it like a mural wall. Frame the fav spots - ie. around the bear on the swing, maybe an area of butterflies, etc. If it is all around the room - take pix of your fav spots, have them enlarged (as big as you want) framed and then use them as your art work. Pick your colors for the paint then to match your art work and you're good to go. PS - must have been a very loving person to have spent so much time on your room when you were little. Good Luck - LT

  2. Take as many digital pictures as u want then paint over it. Move on !!

Life is to short, dont be afraid, the next thing u do will be just as nice and u might have fun doing it ! When there is something in life to do just do it. Procrastination is your enemy.

  3. I think if you're considering removing it, it's probably time. It is hard to part with childhood things, but it is part of moving on. Maybe you should take pictures of the wall so you can always see it, but still be able to paint it over and make your room match you personality now that you're older.
