Question:

I really want to get Mineral makeup, but I don't want to spend all my money on BareMinerals?

So i'm thinking of going with a drugstore brand, so, which one of these is the best and PLEASE list the PROS and CONS (for each if you can, but it can also be only for the one you recommend)

1) Maybelline Mineral Makeup

2) L'Oreal Bare Naturale

3) Covergirl Trublend

If none of these are up to standard, then which ones of the more expensive ones

1) Bare Minerals

2) Sheer Cover

3) Bare Escentuals

Also could you list the prices so I know how much I have to save up?

I have combination skin, (oily in my T-zone)

Thank you!

  1. Covergirl TRUblend,

    i love it!

  2. I forgot to tell the price!  It is $18 plus tax.  I also suggest getting the brush to go with it for $10.

  3. You should check out Everyday Minerals. It's really similar to Bare Minerals but there are more shades and it's way cheaper. You can get free samples. After you find a color that works, you can get a 6 full-sized item kit for $32, where you can get enough foundation for probably 3 or 4 years! I use a Coastal Scents buffer brush to apply.

  4. there's a costco brand thats good called Fresh minerals and its around $30 for a set that includes 2 eyeshadows, bronzer, foundation, finishing founder, and 3 brushes. I've also used bare minerals and i think they are both different but i still like them both equally.

The fresh minerals foundations was nice because it was light reflecting so it distracted from my dark circles under my eyes. However it was a little more translucent than bare minerals which is good because it feels lighter but bad because it doesn't cover as well so you might have to use more. The light reflecting property makes up for that in its own way though so you could still use the same amount if the light is reflecting of your skin.

  5. Covergirl is the way to go and Bare Minerals is too expensive but it works like a charm

  6. they actually sale bare minerals at Bed Bath and Beyond for really cheap :)
