I really want to get started in acting? Such as disney channel?

So I really want to be an actress and mainly on disney channel! I really dont know how to start or how to audition. I know I need an agent to do such a thing, however is it possible to get started without having an agent because they are ufortunately very expensive.

I'm not quite sure how to answer this, but I'll do my best, aspiring actor to aspiring actor (though I don't really want to do Disney Channel).  For most auditions, you'll need a SAG (Screen-Actors-Guild) card.  To get those, you have to have to be in a movie/tv show (doesn't have to be a big role...you could have like, one line).  Anyways, I'm going to be attending KD Studio - an Actors Conservatory in Dallas, Texas.  I would look into possible similar schools that not only teach acting, but teach you how to work in the business.  I'm not really sure how you'd go about doing this without an agent, because they get you auditions.  Though, I know people who's agents only get paid when they do (i.e., they get a percentage of what the actor gets paid), so you might look into that.  Good luck, and I hope I helped at least a little bit.

Well you just have to go on the websties with casting calls. Like www.exploretalent.com there you put in the biggest city near you and then you go and see any roles that you like and qualify for. Then you click submit and put in what they need. They usually need a picture of you and a resume.

Disney is not really a place to get started. It's sort of like the big time for child actors. That being said, Disney isn't the only option you have to get to. I don't understand why aspiring actors think that it's either Disney or nothing.

a lot of people want to be on the disney channel. my only advice is figure out if you are serious about becoming an actress. Or just want to see yourself on the disney channel. Acting is a hard industry to get into, and very few make it big. I know having an agent is helpful but i dont know how well you can find auditions etc. without one. good luck
