  1. Boy if the blood test scares you I hate to see how you'll do with delivery.

You end up giving blood so many times over the course of a pregnancy that it really isn't a big deal. I just don't ever watch it.  If the last time you did one you where 8, you probably remember it as being far more dramatic then it really was.

  2. You may be concerned about needles now but I guarantee it won't bother you for long, just keep your eye on the prize.  Any pain that you may be in during your pregnancy or labor will soon be forgotten once that little bundle of joy is in your arms.  I still hate needles after three babies and would do it all over again.

  3. well honey! I was scared out of my mind!! I HATE needles!!! but like someone else said, they do it so much that you just get use to it! at first i hated it and i would always look the other way, and it just pinches when they put it in and pull it out, it's not so bad, and as for the labor, well it's just something you have to do if you want a baby! I personally had an un-medicated birth, my pregnancy was "textbox" everything went perfectly and the contractions are the WORST part of the whole labor deal!! but everyone is different, and if you want a baby you'll just have to be brave and go for it! you can do it!!! your body was made for this!!

and you can get pregnant anywhere from a month up, i believe! some people could be sooner but i'm not sure the chances of that maybe someone else will have better info on that question! good luck!!

  4. in the long run it is worth every drop of blood and every pain you suffer you have to keep your eye on the goal at the end of the line a beautiful new born baby

  5. I expect you're remembering the blood test as much worse than it really is. You hardly feel anything, a bit of a scratch on your arm, and you don't have to look at what the doctor is doing so you can "tune out" and be talking about something else.

I have never given birth (although I will be in a few months) but I figure that if it's as terrible as some people would have us believe, women would never have more than one! And I'm sure even though it's painful, it's more that worth it to hold your baby at the end of it!

  6. I hate blood tests.  I get very woozy and clammy right after.  However, every test has been worth it for my baby.  You WILL have a lot of blood drawn if you get pregnant (sometimes as much as five viles at once), but it's not so bad if you get a good nurse.  I've found that if I lay back in the chair, do not watch and allow them to use a slightly wider needle, it goes by quickly and painlessly and I don't feel very sick after.  Just make sure you have a good lab tech and they allow you to hang out for a bit to get back to normal, if needed.

  7. If you are so immature that you are asking this question then please don't have a baby. If you have had your blood drawn when you were eight and you lived through it then you should be able to do it now. No one like having their blood drawn but come on, you are being ridiculous. You sound like a little kid! You don't need to have a baby so I'm not going to tell you how long it will take you to get pregnant, stay on your medicine and leave parenting to those people who are willing to sacrafice for their babies.

  8. It's nothing to be scared of really.  Before I got pregnant I was terrified of needles but the outcome was so worth it.

When you go to have blood drawn (which is one vial usually once a pregnancy) ask for a butterfly needle.  It's a smaller needle on the end of a length of tubing.  It doesn't hurt nearly as much. Also tell the tech if needles frighten you.  They go out of their way to comfort you and make it as painless as possible.

    Good Luck
