I really want to help this organization? I NEED IDEAS PLEASE?!?!?

Question

There is this organization that helps wild birds and they are running out of money. I am going to visit them in a few months and really wanted to bring some donations. How do I make the money?

I am not too too outgoing, so probably couldn't handle having this big sale in front of a store. Are there some quiet but good ways I could earn this organization some money?

(I was thinking of puting cans in different stores?)

Did you get mail from them claiming they need money? Before donating time or money to helping them do some research to make sure they're legit. Two sites to check are the Better Business Bureau http://welcome.bbb.org/ and a Ripoff Report http://ripoffreport.com/. Dig as deep as you can in searching for information before getting involved. Try to get as much information as possible from the rehab facility. take that info to a local school or a local community outreach program and see if some adults would like to get their kids involved in raising money for the rehab. I can understand your nervousness about reaching out to everyone for this fund raiser. If you don't have courage to talk to people outright try as much as you can to infuse your passion on those who can. Also try to think out side of the box on this as well; even thought these rehab places can use the money, they also can use supplies, veterinary medicine, syringes, pedialite, feed and food. If the rehab houses birds of prey, one place you can try is the nearest animal research facility, They literally have hundreds of mice and other small animals that are humanely euthanized Co2 that are used for breeding purposes. Instead of these animals being tossed. The rehab can take these frozen animals and use them for feed later on. So just ask you might get more than what you ask for. Good luck

if you're  not out going ask one of you're friends to help you out. try penny drives in you're house even only a little helps or you could try to become out going maybe that can help you to become more out going.

You can set up donation locations, you can ask small/local businesses if they want to give donations.
