  1. just because someone gets out of jail doesn't mean everything is fine. GOD is in charge-vengence is His. h**l is where your punishment is.

  2. why do we kill people

    who kill people

    to show people

    that killing people

    is wrong?

  3. Bad luck. Murder with malice will get you on death row, and the people have that right. They decided to have death row, because lets face it, it stops mobs from lynching folks. Justice for savage types of murder is at the end of a rope. Cause you can't stand it doesn't mean c**p to the family of the victims. blood requires revenge, it's so human it's predictable. Till humans quit killing each other, we'll always need some way to punish murders with something they understand. They do understand capital punishment by the way.

  4. There are an estimated 10% innocent people in prison. Which means that 10% of the guilty got away with it. The one with the best lawyer wins.

  5. The degree of murder and therefore the intensity of the offense depends on the circumstances.  For instance, someone who plans and willfully conducts a gruesome serial killing is considered more offensive than someone who kills in the heat of passion.

Punishment should be commensurate with the crime, so some murderers get out of jail, while others don't.

Along that same line of rationale, pulling the handle to execute a convicted killer is not the same as cold-blooded murder.  Nor is killing on the battlefield during war, or mercifully pulling the plug on a hopelessly ill patient.  The circumstances are very different in these cases.

(BTW - The system isn't always fair, but that's another story)

  6. God is judge in the end and though people think they can judge other poeple in the end even those who would judge will come under the judgement of God or the Karma he mets out. "Each person is right in their own mind but God ponders the heart." Not my words in quotes.

  7. Your questions are all valid. It shows that the justice system if far from ideal or without flaws. It's run by humans to control humans. It's as imperfect as its keepers and custodians.

  8. Why some people are released from jail and some are given life or a death sentence deals with the law. There are so many different aspects of that from evidence, trials, rule books, etc. etc. The law aspect of it could be talked about endlessly.

Do I think death row is bad? Well, no. I can see your perspective and at one time I viewed life just the same. But, I speak from personal experience. A close friend of mine who is a friend of the family was murdered  on her 31st birthday along with her 8 year old son-- and it was her husband who did it solely for the greed of life insurance money. But, also you need to realize that those sentences to death row get SO MANY retrials and appeals. When they are sentenced to death they don't die the next day, but sit in jails for many years. The guy who murdered (as described above) has been sitting in a jail cell for 9 years at this time and still has numerous appeals. He is sitting in jail right now, being fed daily meals (which are paid for by the government and tax payers who had nothing to do with the crime), he is able to even get a college education (imagine that!), while each single appeal he does just cuts deeper into the pain of the family that had to experience that excruciating night. The family tries to heal, and then several years later they wind back up in a court room having to experience the pain all over again because he murdered their loved one over greed and wants to get out jail. Who is the one really suffering more-- him or the family? This is my personal perspective and it based upon personal experience.
