I really want to go into acting and be in movies like my aunt. And modeling is a great way to start off. I sent in some pictures of myself to a toronto modeling agency and they liked them. Below is one of the photos. I asked my parents if I could go to the interview at the agency and eventually model on the side and they were furious about the idea. They want me to be a doctor because i'm good at math science. It's totally not fair. The one thing I really want to do, they won't let me. Is there any way I can still eventually model before I graduate from highschool?

  1. well there is no photo posted but if you really are go looking I say give it a shot

  2. u noe u have to ttake nude pics rite?

  3. Before you are 18, you are pretty much stuck.  You cannot legally enter into a contract without your parents before then.  After 18 you can pursue this without consent from your parents but be prepared to be on your own.

What is going on is that your parents probably realize that the odds of you succeeding in modeling are probably pretty low.  Even if you are a knockout, the odds are still against you.  There are way too many people competing for way too little spots.  At least with going to medical school, you have a much better chance of getting into a career.

  4. idk. they should let you do what you want to do with your life if thats what makes you happy. im sure there are some things you can do during high school for modeling.

  5. Talk to them and tell them how everyone tells you you could go into the modelling business. Its a tough one tho just letting you know it takes alot more than you would think and theres no mistakes or your out. Maybe your parents know this and need you to prove to them you got what it takes

  6. Just do it! Talk to school counclers, and they can help you with what you need to persue this dream!

  7. well the thing is you have to listen to your parents since your not 18. if they say no then its a no but once your 18 you can make any choice you want. just stick it out a couple more years. im sure by then you will be even more beautiful and modeling scouts will definiatly want to sign you.

  8. I think you should finish school first and ask your parents why they are so mad with you about wanting to model and act, you should do what you want to do with your life and don't let anyone get in your way but I think you should finish school first education is very important.

  9. try modeling for a local agent, like in newspapers and such. even if ur forced to go to medical school u could model on side.

  10. first of all, there is no picture to see. 2nd I am the exact same way!!!

one way to get good requests from directors and agencies is to sign up at starsearcasting.com I have one myself. it's an amazing site! you get requests in under two days! you can add me on there and here to help you out!

    mine is ashleyy994

    good luck to you! <3

  11. I can understand why your parents might not be comfortable with you modeling, but it's your life. Modeling, not in the adult entertainment industry, is difficult to truly break into. You won't be able to model without your parental consent until you turn 18, but you can start building a modeling portfolio for the day when you are allowed to make your own employment decisions. Also, I would suggest starting college and using the modeling as a way of paying for school. If things really take off with the modeling gig, then you can quit school and follow it as a full-time career. If things don't work out, you have a partially-paid for college degree. Having a high-paying job during college is nothing to sneeze at. Tuition is a killer.

  12. If you are still in school, then you should listen to your parents.  It's a bit commitment and very time consuming.  Once you graduate from high school if it's still something that you want to do, then look into it again, and in the mean time keep your grades up, eat healthy and exercises.

I would love to have my daughter get into modeling, she already loves acting, but it takes a lot of time to drive her around and get her where she needs to be as well as keep her grades up, and still remember to be a kid and have fun in life.

Modeling and acting is something that would be fun to do on the side, but lots of people that want to makea career out of doing it learn that it's very hard to become successful.  So having another alternative is not  bad thing.

    Good luck and keep smiling.

  13. You should do what you want to do. Not what your parents want you to do. Follow your dreams and great things might happen.

  14. i think you can make an agreement with your parents... say that if you get 4.00 the 1rst semester you can take classes but if you become unfocusesd in school then you can't take the classes anymore.... but i think if your really wanna do modeling its better when your 18 b/c your following your own dreams and you can make your own decisions

  15. Im sure there is, I mean once you graduate do what you want, they can't dictate you once your 18 unless you still live with them. besides all you have to do is do what you doing now when you graduate and you should be set.

  16. i dont see any picture of you.. i would really like to see one..

then i can answer, depicting on how pretty you are....

.... but i think you should follow your dreams.
